Meet the 12-Month Scratch Protection Plan
Your prescription and reader lenses are made for you and nobody else. That's why they're final sale — and why a scratch is more of a problem than it would be on an off-the-shelf pair.
This plan covers that. Add it to your order and your lenses are protected against scratches for 12 months.
What's covered
- Scratched prescription or reader lenses, for 12 months from the date of your order
- One remake per plan, in your original prescription and lens color
- We cover the trip back to you
What isn't
- Lost or broken frames, and damage to the frame itself
- A change in your prescription
- Anything past 12 months from your order date
How it works
Email orders@islandoptics.com with your order number and a photo of the lenses. If it's covered we'll send you our form and where to mail your frames. Postage to us is at your own cost.
This plan needs to be added at the time of purchase and covers the prescription eyewear or readers on the same order. One plan per pair.

PREMIUM COATINGS
All Island Optics eyewear has the following lens coatings.
Scratch Resistance: Highly abrasion-resistant coating which increases surface hardness allowing lenses to exceed testing requirements.
Hydrophobic & Oleophobic: Helps repel water and reduce oil buildup.
Anti-Reflective: Reduces glare and unwanted reflections
Marine: Marine coating which protects lenses from saltwater use.
LENS MATERIAL
Lens material options for our sunglass frames are below.
Polycarbonate: Thinner than mineral glass by up to 25%, lightweight with increased impact resistance.
Mineral Glass: Available on some of our frames. Mineral Glass provides the best optical clarity.
