TR90 nylon — lightweight, flexible, and dimensionally stable in heat or cold. Built to take impact and shrug off sweat and salt.

All Island Optics eyewear has the following lens coatings.
Scratch Resistance: Highly abrasion-resistant coating which increases surface hardness allowing lenses to exceed testing requirements.
Hydrophobic & Oleophobic: Helps repel water and reduce oil buildup.
Anti-Reflective: Reduces glare and unwanted reflections
Marine: Marine coating which protects lenses from saltwater use.
LENS MATERIAL
Lens material options for our prescription frames are below.
Polycarbonate: Thinner than mineral glass by up to 25%, lightweight with increased impact resistance.
Trivex: Best optical clarity (centrally and peripherally), ultra lightweight, increased impact resistance and resistant to chemical and stress.
High Index: Ideal for stronger power prescriptions that allow for thinner lenses, increased scratch resistance, lower impact resistance as compared to polycarbonate or Trivex. High Index lenses are recommended for prescription powers above +/- 4.00 Sphere and/or Cylinder above +/- 2.00.

Single Vision Most common prescription that corrects for one field of vision (far distance, intermediate, or near vision correction).
Progressive Multifocal lenses for far distance, intermediate, and near vision. Progressive lenses have added magnification at the bottom of the lenses for up close reading.

I wouldn't say I am a sunglasses aficionado, but wow these are a huge upgrade over my previous prescription sunglasses (from Warby Parker). They fit really well, and the frames are kind of "grippy"; they feel very secure on my face. The tinting/polarization also works very well. I tested them out in some harsh sunny mountain and ocean conditions last week, and they really made things much more pleasant to look at. I'm thinking about buying a non-prescription pair to wear when I have my contacts in!

I am a Virgin Islands resident, & I have the prescription lenses. These sunglasses should be REQUIRED when moving to the Caribbean. You will see colors you have never seen before, you will see fish better than you ever have, & it all-around makes the quality of life better when living in a tropical environment. 100/10 recommend.
