Scratch Resistance: Highly abrasion-resistant coating which increases surface hardness allowing lenses to exceed testing requirements.

Marine: Marine coating which protects lenses from saltwater use.

I originally bought this set at the St Pete Boat Show several years ago, but the lenses were plastic. When I saw them on-line with glass lenses, I was quick to get them. Especially when I am on the boat!

I was recently planning trip to Argentina for a dove hunting trip. I purchased two pair of sunglasses online from a company known for hunting sunglasses. Neither fit right. I I previously purchased a pair of Noords from a local boat show and absolutely love them. On the day I was flying out for my trip, I called Island optics to try to get a couple of pair the same day. I live close to there headquarters in Boca. What I didn’t realize, though, is that they’re not set up yet for a retail store. It didn’t matter. I called island optics to see if I could pick up two pair of sunglasses the same day. Even though their headquarters is an office/manufacturing location, they told me to come down the same day to pick up two pairs of Noords. I wore both pair on my trip and cannot be happier with my purchase. Excellent customer service from a family run business. A+ experience.
